The Dave Thomas Films Team
Cool people? Yeah, you know they are...

Dave Thomas
Founder of Dave Thomas Films

Everything started with my first camcorder. VHS tapes, action figures, and no talent, that was my equipment. Soon enough I started making movies with what I call, "real people". From there I got more interested in the artistic and technical sides of filmmaking. By the time high school came around, I was taking courses in film production and learning how to use non linear editing systems. I then began making LEGO animations as well as martial arts fight scenes. Later, I moved to Georgia and there I made my first true short films and began premiering them. Now I'm running this website, making independent films, and trying to connect with people who appreciate the art of low budget films. Filmmaking is my hobby, my way of self expression, and in many ways, my life.
Now, I can't always produce quality yum yums on my own. Occasionally I need to request the help of my awesome friends. They deserve credit!

Well, where to start... Ah, first off, that picture of me is a bit outdated. I'll have to get on that... Oh, right, bio. I started working with Dave back in the 9th grade. My first work was as good as expected for a 15 year old with no previous experience. Our first venture was my first and last attempt at performing in front of the camera. Several years later, with on and off experience from school and working with Dave, I evolved into a half-decent camera operator. I usually serve as primary videographer, assistant director, and assistant choreographer on occasion. Other than that, I help out with the website and anything else I happen to know about. I also happen to like cameras.

I guess that makes me the old guy. At the tender age of nine, I remember using my Dad's Beta camcorder. Aside from the half decade time difference, I've followed a similar path to the rest of the guys, but I've also been out of the action for a while so I guess that also makes me the new guy. I feel a bit like Obi-Wan Kenobi on board the Millennium Falcon. There's a lot of energy here; I'm just trying to bring balance to the Force.

  • Batman: Metamorphosis - Assistant Writer, Actor
  • Ask A Superhero Season 2: #5 Batman Returns - Actor

While I am labeled the "forum expert", I try not to make myself sound too pathetic. I've been on and around a load of forums since early 2003, so I've been all different kinds of forum managers and stuff, and I hope to help out Dave Thomas Films in whatever way I can to improve the quality of the forums. Other than that, I'm a pretty average guy. Soon enough, I'll be majoring in Chemistry in college (rather than taking random electives)... I like music... Movies are pretty solid... I also enjoying spending time with my good chums Zak, Dave, and Ray. They're a good bunch.

My career too started with a VHS Camcorder and no talent, and has since grown from there. From early in high school, I was certain I wanted to go into video, so I started to pursue more professional experiences. I began taking courses, working at a small local TV program, where I met Dave, and teaching myself at home whatever I could. My senior year, my Video Production teacher retired, and a new teacher, with a lot of interest and desire to learn, but little experience came into the position. I spent the next year teaching him everything he would need to know to teach the class after I left, furthering my own knowledge of the subject along the way and now, here I am.

  • Batman: Metamorphosis - Actor, Additional Building Supply

I guess I'm the only female on this page currently... crashing the "hottest men in town" page. ha. Anyway, I've always been interested in art and stories. I grew up with an avid interest in photography, graphics, and costuming. In junior high, I took to comic writing to pass the tedious seconds of math class. From there I branched off and now help Dave with graphic design, costume design and creation, and film ideas. Oh! And I designed the nifty little Dragon logo :)

  • Tree Fight - Cinematographer
  • The Legendary Zorro - Costume Design, Prop Master
  • Ask A Superhero Season 2 - Additional Costume Design
  • Batman: Metamorphosis - Actor, Road Construction
